Dear Friends and Fellow Republicans,
The recent resignation of Michael Brodkorb as Mn GOP Deputy Chair has left a gap in our state party leadership team at a time when the need for experienced leadership and a strong, unified party has never been greater. While it sounds cliche to say the 2012 election is the most significant in decades, wouldn't you
agree that we are living in perilous times and what we stand to lose is grave? No doubt, you are involved because you are answering the call to preserve our freedoms for future generations in the same way generations of heroes have fought and defended those liberties for us. Each of us is called to do our part.
It is with deliberate and serious reflection that I have decided to step forward and offer my experience and commitment by running for the Deputy Chair position. Experience is one of life's greatest teachers. My immense experience affords me the ability to step in to this position providing more than a seamless
transition but in fact, an infusion of energy, leadership and a fresh voice that is not steeped in tired, political rhetoric. My service can produce the victories needed to increase our majority in the Minnesota Legislature and grow the Republican Delegation in Washington! Those of you who know me personally, know that I take service very seriously. Whether it was as a Marine, city councilman, city mayor, State Representative,
BPOU Chair and Vice Chair or church councilman, each role was approached with a servant’s heart and a commitment to others. Most importantly, I get involved to make a difference.
It is for such a time as this that I am being called again to serve. I know what the stakes are, and defeat is not an option. I bring with me a network of key people in strategic positions and a winning formula that can organize the conservative base in every county & district. We must replace the worn out political-ease with old-fashioned relationship building that gets individuals involved in their district, doing something they are good at and excited to contribute. That’s how we flipped Chisago County from one of the most liberal to one of the most conservative & a top fund-raiser.
