Pete Nelson

"I heartily endorse Peter Nelson for the position of Deputy Chair of the Minnesota Republican Party for the reasons I enumerate: 1) Peter grew up in an atmosphere of hard work, commitment to personal integrity and public service.   Peter's father, the late Howard Nelson, a successful business owner,  gave years of distinguished political service at the local level and as a Minnesota State Representative and a Minnesota State Senator.   From parental example Peter learned the importance of word-as-bond and the necessity of earning the trust of the public through demonstrated personal integrity.   2) Peter owned, operated and managed the family business for years while making time available for public service in many capacities including as mayor of his city and culminating in his election as a State Representative.   For years Peter Nelson has been active in the Chisago county Republican Party and has provided exemplary leadership from Precinct to State Convention and leadership at the state level.  Peter Nelson has brought organizational skills and leadership and unlimited commitment to the successful reorganization of the Chisago County Republican Party.   The Minnesota Republican Party needs the organizational skills, the leadership qualities, the experience and the dedication to Republican principles that Peter Nelson will provide without reservation.
